AANP Recertification Requirements
The applicants must fulfill the minimum requirements within five years of certification to renew the certification.
Given below are the two options available for renewal of certification.
Option-1. Recertify through Clinical Practice hours and continuing education (CE)
Must have completed at least 1,000 hours of professional training within the Nurse Practitioner position in any specialization suitable for the area for certification through the employment of faculty, clinical supervision, or by volunteering within the five years of certification.
Option 2. Recertifying through Exams.
Attend the A-GNP or FNP Certificate exams.
Hold the valid RN License during the period of certification.
How to Renew the AANP Recertification?
If you are planning to renew your AANP certification, visit the homepage of the official website, and click on the “Recertify Now” button. You will be required to log in to your account online and then be directed through the application online. Paper applications are accepted with a processing fee of $50 for each submission.
